Cross-country skiing belongs to the Winter Sports Section since the foundation of SŠŠR MV SR.

The sport is centred on Štrbské Pleso, but the preparation of sportsmen often takes place under more optimal conditions abroad. We care now for some sportsmen participating at races with both classical and free style (individual races or relays). Three of them are sport instructors.
